On 14 March 2017 in Kunsthaus Bregenz, Elisabeth Bronfen gave a lecture on Virginia Woolf's To the lighthouse. Moreover, three of the soloists of To the Lighthouse, namely Christie Finn, Sophie Burgos and Jean-Marc Salzmann demonstrated parts of the opera in progress.
